As my interests go, so goes my teaching and research.  First and foremost, I am a conservation ecologist, but my teaching and research interests pull me towards a variety of subdisciplines, including ornithology, physiology, sustainable agriculture, animal behavior, and conservation biology.  I currently teach in the Biological and Environmental Sciences Department at Georgia College & State University, a public liberal-arts college.

Please look around and explore the links above to find out more about my research and teaching.

On the News tab, you’ll find articles (from both popular media and peer-reviewed journals) that I find interesting – about pedagogy, scientific studies, and current happenings in my lab and the local area.

I recently started a new position as Assistant Professor of Biology at Georgia College & State University after spending five years teaching at Northland College.
